"The orientation was very helpful as in those 15 days we became much more familiar with the college culture, norms, and also the faculties and students. We assume that you will use the web to find the set of private engineering colleges in your state or the country and depending on a number of factors you’d probably shortlist three or four at max. 

So, what next?

You should be contacting the admission department of those engineering colleges for the names of recent local alumni that are available to answer questions.
